Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between Posuna Solutions Ltd and the person who creates a HOME family, and everyone they invite into it. Please read them before you sign up — creating an account means you accept them.
Version 1.0 · In effect from 9 August 2026 · HOME is operated by Posuna Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 17036115), 25 Boringdon Avenue, Plymouth, England, PL5 1UU.
1. What HOME is
HOME is a private online workspace where a family can organise tasks, homework, allowance and rewards, savings goals, calendars, shopping, meals and household finances. It is an organisational and record-keeping tool only.
HOME is not a bank, payment service or money transfer service. Allowance, rewards and savings balances are a record of what your family has agreed between yourselves. We never hold, move or pay out money to a child, and we do not connect to your bank accounts. Nothing in the app is financial, tax or legal advice.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or over to create a family, hold the Family Owner role, or manage billing.
- Anyone with their own login must be at least 13 years old. Younger children are added as profiles managed by a parent, with no login of their own.
- You must give accurate details and keep your password confidential. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised.
- One person may not create an account on behalf of an adult who has not agreed to these terms.
3. The Family Owner
The person who creates a family is its Family Owner. The Family Owner:
- confirms they are the parent or legal guardian of every child added, or have that person's permission;
- consents on each child's behalf to the processing described in our Privacy Policy, and can withdraw it by removing that child;
- decides who is invited, what role they hold, and can remove members;
- is the only person who can start, change or cancel a Premium subscription;
- may transfer ownership to another adult parent in the family; and
- can permanently delete the whole family workspace and its data.
Other adults invited as parents share day-to-day management, but not billing or deletion of the family. Children can only see and do what their role allows.
4. Your content
Everything your family enters remains yours. You grant us only the permission we need to host, back up, process and display that content in order to run the service for you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with other families.
You are responsible for what is entered about other people, particularly children. Keep behaviour notes and similar records fair, accurate and appropriate for something the family may read.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use HOME for anything unlawful, abusive, harassing or harmful to a child;
- try to access another family's workspace, or probe, scan or interfere with our systems or security controls;
- attempt to obtain Premium features without a valid subscription or trial;
- resell, rent or white-label the service; or
- copy, scrape or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, or where we must act to protect a child or another user. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.
6. Free and Premium
The core family features are free. Household finance, debt tracking, family reports and Family Insights are Premium. New families get a 14-day free trial of Premium with no card required; when it ends, Premium data stays visible in read-only form until you subscribe. Pricing, renewal and cancellation are covered in our Subscription Terms, which form part of this agreement.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep HOME available and reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, add or withdraw features. If we withdraw a significant paid feature we will give reasonable notice and, if you have paid for it, a fair refund of the unused period.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using HOME at any time. A member can leave a family, and the Family Owner can delete the family entirely — see our Account and Data Deletion Policy. Deleting the family cancels any active subscription. We may end this agreement on reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for decisions you make based on figures you have entered into the app. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for HOME in that period, or £100 if you use it free of charge.
10. Complaints, law and jurisdiction
Please contact support@homefamily.app first — most issues are resolved quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of your local mandatory consumer law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
